Honoring a Legacy: The Matt Pietila Victory Bell Dedication at BC Construction Group

At BC Construction Group, we recently held a special ceremony to dedicate our Victory Bell in memory of Matt Pietila, our second employee, a dear friend, and a foundational member of our team whose influence continues to shape our company every day.
The event brought together our team, Matt’s wife Megan, and their children Brooks, Avery, Nathan, and Sophia to celebrate his life, his contributions, and the lasting impact he made on BC Construction Group.

A Man Who Embodied Our Core Values

Matt joined us early in our journey and quickly became much more than an employee. He set an exceptional standard through his work ethic, integrity, and leadership. Our core values — Clear, Accountable, and Relentless, were not just words to Matt; they were how he lived and worked every single day.
Whether on a job site, preparing a bid, or spending time with his family and friends, Matt brought precision, honesty, and unwavering determination to everything he did. His approach became known internally as the “Matt Standard,” and it continues to guide our team today.

The Pietila Victory Bell

Our Victory Bell has always been a symbol of celebration when we win new projects. Moving forward, it will carry even greater meaning as The Pietila Victory Bell.
During the ceremony, Matt’s name was permanently welded onto the bell. Megan and their children were then invited forward to ring it for the first time in his honor, a powerful moment that connected his legacy with every future success we achieve.

This dedication ensures that Matt’s spirit will be present in every victory we celebrate, reminding our entire team to uphold the high standards he set for our clients, our projects, and our families.
