Brighton, MI (September 9, 2021) – BC Construction Group (BCCG) is pleased to announce the Grand Opening of the Spencer Business Center, the home of their new headquarters, located at 9829 Spencer Road, Brighton, Michigan 48114. BCCG will celebrate opening their new office with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. BCCG clients, business partners, local officials, and news media will attend the outdoor celebration.

Plans to construct the new 32,000 SF headquarters were initiated by the exceptional growth experienced by BCCG, and the need for more office space to service its expanding portfolio of national Clients and associated projects. Constructed with the same systems and techniques as the majority of BCCG’s projects, the building is based on a steel reinforced concrete tilt-wall structural system, steel truss’, and metal decking. The wall system is inlaid with accenting brick, and aluminum windows were used for a modern simple look. The building was also constructed utilizing systems and techniques to create a healthier indoor working environment, so critical in these pandemic times.  The attractive, two-story facility accommodates the firm’s current 50-person staff with room for continued growth. Spencer Business Center also accommodates up to four other tenants, leased to professional service firms.

“The opening of our new headquarters represents a significant milestone in the growth of the company and provides a world-class healthy environment for our team to work, while showcasing the building techniques we apply for our clients,” said Paul Lemley, Executive Vice President.

Constructed during the COVID-19 pandemic, the building’s design integrates ASHRAE and CDC guidelines developed to mitigate potential health risks and implement safe operation of various building systems. These guidelines impacted items including the HVAC system, choice of finishes, and workspace distance to improve indoor air quality and defend against pathogens.

“This is a place where our clients can come and experience what they will receive in a BCCG building, a place where people can earn, learn, and thrive,” stated Mark Tomasik, President.
