On Wednesday, July 27th, BCCG team members were proud to join Brookwood Capital, Road One and others for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony held at the Portside Logistics Center Project to celebrate the Grand Opening of Road One’s new facility, located in Suffolk, Virginia.
Developer and repeat Client, Brookwood Capital, selected BCCG to design-build the new 338,000 square foot warehouse and distribution building. Interestingly, the 40-acre site was an old munitions dump site and BCCG worked with the Department of Defense and the Environmental Protection Agency to turn the land into a usable site.
The high-value facility solution implemented by BCCG is a concrete tilt-up building with structural steel framing and metal decking. The building has 81 docks, 12 acres of trailer parking, and a 3,500 square foot office.
