Project Overview
The new Owens & Minor distribution center is located in Morgantown, WV, and was designed with functionality, efficiency, and sustainability in mind. The scope of this design-build project included:
- Warehouse Space: 343,243 square feet dedicated to medical supply storage with optimized rack storage solutions.
- Office/Business Area: A 3,000 square-foot office space for administrative operations.
- Assembly Space: A 1,783 square-foot assembly area for light manufacturing or product assembly tasks.
- Dock Doors and Parking: The facility includes 53 dock doors (9×10), 1 drive-in door, 100 car parking spaces, and 75 trailer parking spaces to ensure seamless logistics and operations.
- LEED Certification: The facility is designed to achieve LEED Certification, highlighting our commitment to sustainability.
The project was built on a 29-acre site and features a concrete tilt-up construction method for both durability and speed of construction.
