With aggressive material handling dates already established for their planned facility, FedEx Ground needed a team capable of completing the project to meet their urgent needs.
Using the Design-Build delivery method, BCCG met the challenge and constructed the nearly 200,000-square-foot distribution center in the established time frame. Concentrated coordination with the FedEx Ground team allowed the successful installation of thousands of feet of conveyors and sorting lines.
The building features 7,993 square feet of finished office space, 48 truck loading docks, 2 high-speed roll-up doors, and 21 roll-up drive-in doors. In addition, a sound wall was installed to reduce the noise generated by FedEx Ground’s 24 hours a day, seven days a week operation and minimize disruption to neighboring properties.
