As part of American Tire Distributors’ National Rollout Program, BCCG provided complete Design-Build services for the Lubbock, Texas facility, using load-bearing, tilt-up concrete panels and structural steel framing. Seventeen dock doors of varying heights access the 60’ speed bay with an interior clear height of 32’. The facility was designed with a 10,000-square-foot office space to host a call center, over twice the size as other locations constructed by BCCG.
The Lubbock site presented BCCG with a couple familiar challenges. Existing conditions included wet soil as well as zero water pressure to the site. Fill soil was brought in to resolve excess soil moisture. To provide adequate water pressure to the site, BCCG worked with the City to install a water tank, which was determined to be the best solution for this location. BCCG completed the fast-track project in 9 months.
