BCCG was entrusted to Design-Build the eighth American Tire Distributors facility, located a short distance from BCCG’s Michigan-based headquarters. Like the other prototypical facilities, this 125,060-square-foot building was constructed using load-bearing, concrete tilt-up panels and structural steel framing. The warehouse has a 4,750-square-foot office and 17 dock positions of varying heights. Inside, there is a clear height of 32 feet and a 60-foot speed bay to allow ample space for ATD’s transfer of materials.

The rigorous community development standards established by the city of Novi demanded exterior façade upgrades, a specification that was different from other ATD prototypes. BCCG worked to develop a compromise on the exterior requirements and procured needed variances to move the project forward. The result is a building constructed using embedded-brick tilt-up panels; a solution that created an aesthetically-pleasing facility which compliments the design and architecture of neighboring properties.d procured needed variances to move the project forward.
